I am super excited about this corner of the lounge but you know me! I am the disorganized "writer" who usually doesn't have a pen. Ah well! I can't wait to share some of my stuff with you and I hope you send me something of yours to share with the other loungers. Creativity literally releases feel good chemicals in our bodies. Look it up!
I am a self professed TV junkie! There is literally 4 of them in my 2 bedroom apartment. I am in no way an expert on any of this but here is some that I enjoy. Tell me what some of yours are and I will add it to the list.
I will try to not include anything that is on an additional paid subscription beyond the streaming site without it having its own category.
SCAMANDA-This lady is seriously crazy. They have only released 4 episodes so far but she is faking brain cancer and is truly nutty.
CHAMBERS-A heart transplant transports a teen into another dimension when she takes on the characteristics of her donor.
YOUR HONOR-Bryan Cranston (Malcolm in the Middle) stars as a judge who must protect his son at any cost. Even when it is against the mob boss of New Orleans. Multiple Seasons
MR HARRINGTON'S PHONE-adapted from a book of the same name by Stephen King, both versions are incredibly true to how it was originally written. Good movie to watch with the older kids.
SWEET TOOTH- Wow!! What can I say. A great family show with multiple seasons. My grandson watched 3 or 4 episodes before me as soon as it dropped!
DOWNTON ABBEY-I will never be able to say enough about how wonderful this show is. Lady Grantham, Mary, Anna. Do yourself a favor and watch it ladies and let them teach you how to cut to the bone in the nicest way possible! Multiple seasons.
On second thought, read all the books! Any and all you can lay your hands on. Take the time and listen to that soothing voice of the newest audio book sweep you away while you clean house or after you dropped the kids off at school. You know you used to love to read so just do it! They have made it way to easy so no more excuses! The "experts" say that listening to audio books is reading too so who are you to argue with that logic?!
Disclaimer: I do write true crime novels and love my murder stories on tv, in print and heard on the podcasts so you may see a bias in my choices of literature.
Barbara isn't Dying by Alina Bronskey-What a great book! It was a captivating weekend read that made me think about my own marriage as this husband and wife navigated their own.
Mr. Harrington's Phone by Stephen King-An incredible short story that I found in a collection called If it Bleeds. I randomly read the story and about a week later I found the movie adaptation on Netflix starring Donald Sutherland. It is so good. I will put the recommendation for the movie into that section.
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern This YA novel is wonderful from the first page to the last. This book is one you read and then reread.
Manhunt The 12 day chase for Lincoln's killer. by James L Swanson
Killers of the Flower Moon by David Gann
In Cold Blood-Truman Capote
The Sesame Street Collection-I am actually looking for this for my littles so let me know if it is wasting away in your children's library.

TJ's Pizza-not as good as it used to be but I keep trying and hoping.
